Projectmanagement with split-view?

Well, I actually like the split view.  I find that tree widgets are easy to 
program but can make for poorly usable UIs, especially when the tree tries to 
do too much (which I think the current project management tree does, with its 
directories, targets, and files all in one great big tree).

A split view would let us do something similar to the file browser, where each 
level was shown as a flat list, if we wanted.

However, I am trying to stay away from the project management side of kdevelop 
(as my skills are probably best used elsewhere).  Thus, I won't be 
implementing split view any time soon, and it would seem to me to be fairly 
trivial to do so later if needs be.  So, do as you like.
