Installed from:    compiled sources
Compiler:          gcc version 3.2.2
OS:          SunOS (sun4u) release 5.8

I disabled folding markers "view->Show Folding Markers = false". No I changed something in file and saved by [CTRL]+[S] => Folding Markers are back!

(this might be a bug of kate but kdevelop?!)
