kdevelop-3.0 doesn't build

Well, actually I meant 'back to lpr', not QPrinter. And the problem
is not the api, it is what happens behind it. Meanwhile KDE's way
of starting lots of background processes whose purpose is only known
by some elected groups of priests gets out of hand :-(
