I agree with this. It is easy to say, but very difficult to do! There are
lots and lots of men hours dug in de current version and also in the 3.0
version. KDevelop 1.x has very much limits and is the subject of an
intensive reconstruction, perhaps better from scratch.
What we have now under KDevelop 3.0 is very potential, although not
working. It's a nice but complex framework. I have done some efforts
reoganizing some stuff, to reduce the complexity, making it more
understandable etc. It has a long way to go, but it could become something
great.

Beginning totally from scratch is an idea, perhaps a good one, but there
is a great great chance we end again where we are now: something almost
done but not complete. This is very difficult, almost undoable without a
design. Design matter and descussing on a concrete one is more difficult
from remote.
I think sometimes KDevelop 3.0 is not taken serious any more, which to my
opinion has the potentials we need. What we need is some 'redesign' and
improvements on it. And if we get into that all together, it is a matter
of some time. We'll get it work!
