Yup, this is the key phrase in this problem. Where is the executable? Since the
introduction of the new libtool (ages ago) it's been built in .libs.

The debugger shouldn't try and figure this out. That's up to the make system
that compiles the executable, as it knows (better that anyone else should)
where the executable is built.
