Mails in some folders oening in "reply" format

Hi

Since Akonadi fcked up my mail the other day, mail in some folders (incoming / 
addressed to me) opens in "reply" format (attached).

How do I stop that happening? I can't find any setting.

Also it defaults to rich text mode instead of plain text.
