Hi Huw,

I'm not trying to convert you to use Tbird but you should know I have 
Tbird integrated with Gmail and Google Calendar.  I can synchronize my 
Smart phone and Tbird quite nicely.

Tbird stores email in a different format than Kmail.  I wrote a little 
conversion script to convert all my Kmail email in Tbird's format - 
which isn't Tbird-specific.
