Currently I don't. But it is possible by checking at starttime (so add a

I think akonadi is the right way to go. To have ONE interface to all
possible pim data is great. But as already said: The caches have to be
removed from home.

Thats the reason why I move all my network members (they are only 3 -
just my family) to thunderbird. It is the same on windows and linux. And
my users don't use the advances features of kmail anyway.
To me thunderbird is to limited. So currently I use kmail only (on
linux) and for the rest of pim (and on windows) I use either my web
frontend (SOGo) or thunderbird.
