I tried %m, does not work. In fact, does something very weird - it
keeps replacing %m with %25m in that field (if I click OK and then go
back to re-edit it). So does not look to me like any % code would work
there.

I guess the workaround is to make it display a dialog which says
"error occurred, check your notifier to see what the actual message
is". But that is kludgy, and notifier popups sometimes cut off message
text (at least on my work computer, which is 4.4). Sigh - maybe I will
finally get to filing this as a bug/feature request soon.
