Greetings --
I originally sent this message to Ingo Kloecker, and he suggested that I
send it to you-all.
I am still running "KMail 1.9.5 (Using KDE 3.5.5 "release 45" openSUSE
10.2)" -- where I found your name and E-Mail address as Maintainer.
I am planning on soon installing Kubuntu 8.10 (Intrepid Ibex), also
using KDE and K-Mail -- although I am not at all sure of the version
number of that K-Mail.
Kubuntu 8.10 has an excellent tool, called "Dolphin", for moving files
and folders around. Its limitation is that I (the end-user) need to
point it precisely to its source location and precisely to its target
location before it can "do its thing". And I do NOT yet see where
those folders are to be found.
I do not have any need to manipulate data in the default folders, but
the personal folders within "KMail-Import" have a LOT of important old
E-Mail. Would you be so kind as to tell me what is the fully-qualified
path name to these folders (and any special transfer tricks that I
should really be aware of)?
I am, in reality, a Linux newbie who has simply been using the machine
and happily away from "Macro-Hard" Windows for a while. My mail is
held in maildir format. Both Distros will be on a single hard disk
drive in a machine which I alone control. If I should be supplying
additional information, in order to enable you to respond correctly,
please let me know what I have thus far "avoided"!!!
THANK YOU -- VERY much -- for your time with this message and VERY
useful and helpful information!!!!!
