With the KDE/KMail updates only 2 days ago, it is very hard, if not
impossible, to tell if other distros are having the same problem.
Quite a few posts on Ubuntu forums about KMail and full screen mode after
those KDE updates, saw one post where Korganizer was also going into full
screen mode. Also a post about 'krdc' doing the same thing.
So, it may be 'KDE + Ubuntu', not just 'KMail + Ubuntu' ??

Yes okay, thanks. Seems to be some sort of solution at
http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?p=6751385#post6751385 ; might try that.
Will still need to be reported to the distro (Ubuntu and Kubuntu at least) bug
tracking system. If a person installed KMail for the first time, they would be
put off using it, in its present form under *buntu distros.
