Emily, I don't have time to search at the moment, but maybe this hint will 
help you.  Some time back I did something similar to what you are attempting, 
using open office's merge facility, based on label sheets.  I can't remember 
whether I got enough info from the help pages, searching on 'label print' or 
some such, or whether I got a how-to from the open office web.  They have 
dedicated mailing lists, and the couple of times I used them I found them very 
helpful.
