[kdepim-users] Kmail is not working with my Cyrus Imap server

Hi Anne,

thanks for your reply.

I'm using a plain connection, no SSL with plaintext password. In the 
KMail account settings dialog, I can do "check server capabilities", and 
it displays to me that this kind of authorization is supported. This is 
a LAN, and there is no Firewall or SELinux or AppArmor involved. 
Accessing this mail server works with Thunderbird and Evolution from the 
same host and the same login account.

It looks more like KMail is failing to fetch the folder list from the 
server. However, I don't have a clue and I cannot find any meaningful 
status or error message.
