Thanks, I got myself signed up for the list. I can't  figure  out how to 
ask
questions directly to the list  (but will look there for answers!)

I looked at

/apps/korganizer/std.ics and  std.ics~

but don't understand your question about the size. I didn't see
anything else in the file.

Also, sometimes when I try to enter an item I get a response "no 
resource"

Also, I was able to import my Google calendar,  but can't make direct
entries.  I must have deleted something because it worked fine right
out of the box.
