[Kdenlive-devel] Compiling KDEnlive with extra debug symbols?

Hi!

I have a reproducible crash problem in KDEnlive (select a DV clip,
play it in clip monitor, pause, then select any other DV clip -
instant crash) and would like to debug it and possibly try to make a
patch.

I've compiled my MLT and KDEnlive from sources based on instructions
from http://www.kdenlive.org/user-manual/downloading-and-installing-kdenlive/installing-source.
However, gdb fails to show adequate debug information when I reproduce
the crash:

Am I missing something in the build procedure? I'm not very familiar
with cmake. Are there any additional compilation options that would
result in binaries with more debug information?
