Hello.

Do you ever see an image in the kdenlive monitor or is it always black ?
If you never saw an image, maybe there was a problem in the MLT init. I 
just realized we were using timers to do the initialisation, so 
depending on your computer, it was possible that kdenlive's monitors 
were not started.

I just commited a fix for this, so you can try updating & recompiling 
your kdenlive svn.

Let me know if it improves the situation.
