KDE Connect iOS port

Hello KDE mailing list!

I'm new to all this mailing list and FOSS stuff, so please forgive me my faults and possibly tell me if I'm doing wrong.

TL;DR at the end.

I very recently got into KDE and I'm honestly amazed. The KDE DE and all its surrounding software are not only great but also beautiful. And now I stumbled across this nice project which promises some really cool features. And I want it. 

Now the problem: There only seems to be a maintained Android app for KDE Connect, while I am stuck with an iPhone.

I already found the beginnings of an iOS port. But neither any code nor anything to install and test. My question now is, if someone can tell me a way to test and contribute to KDE Connect on my iPhone. Possibly also what the state of the iOS app is.


TL;DR: What's the state of the iOS version of KDE Connect and how can I contribute?
