Print question

Some applications seem to have problems with the new print setup.  For 
instance, firefox never duplexes, even though my printer's default settings 
are to use duplex.  Scribus does duplex, even though I tell it that I don't 
want this job duplexed.

Am I meeting a bug, or is there something that I need to configure somewhere?
