OK - so probably coincidence. I hate that because you can never be sure when
something will cause it to happen again :-)

I should be able to get to it later today. I'll do that and report back.
The reasons for trying another theme were
1 - I kept closing the wrong window because I couldn't see enough difference
between focused and non-focused windows.
2 - the default settings make for tiny type and my aging eyes couldn't cope.
Maybe I should have just increased the font settings.
I know the first point has been discussed elsewhere already so there's not
point in setting up a bug report for it, I think.
