Kscd stops playing

To be honest, I never used kscd, because didn't overcome the "digital
playback" issue - and it still does not play CDs. However, because I mainly
use amarok, I play CDs there as well. Kafeine is also a good choice and both
amarok and kaffeine are KDE applications and can be set as default CD player
etc... You said you had troubles with amarok, and I suggest you deal with
those as a higher priority, because I find that player the best one around...
