How to see total number of filesin Directory with subdirectories

Just to verify that KDE's Konqueror on Fedora Core 5 does show in directory 
properties the number of files, and sub-folders correctly for my 
Sounds-Library directory.

KDE version 3.5.5-0.2.fc5 Fedora-Core
