changing kb modifiers in FC5

I have just upgraded to FC5 and find a problem.  I use vncviewer to
access my Mac, and all works fine un der gnome.

but under KDE the mapping of Alt to Command doesn't work.  So I fiire
up the control centre and check the keyboard section.

Under the modifiers section of the keyboard shortcuts it looks like I
need to set something for mod4.

But I can't.  No combination of mouseclicks or keypresses seems to
allow me to edit that section.

Is this an FC5 bug, or is there something else I should be doing first?

The current scheme is bluecurve, but I tried switching to other
keyboard schemes and no change.
