Spellchecking in kopete chat window

I have an issue with the spell checker in Kopete. When i right click on the 
message and choose "check spelling" errors are shown on what seem to be 
HTML formatting tags that is probably used in the backend. This is 
certainly not the way it is meant to be. So is it a known issue?
