This is a busy weekend..working on a web project and I have a bunch of stuff
up on KDE that I don't want to kill, so I'll try it as soon as I get that
under control.

I read the UPDATING note. The only thing that was running when I did the
upgrade was kdm. I cntl-alt-backspaced before upgrading. This is a laptop and
I haul it back and forth to work and home and I did the update, then ran out
of time to play with it, and I took it to work with me and ran KDE from
startx all that day and Konq would crash every time I started it from the
"Home" Icon, but not the "Web" icon. It did that all day on demand. As soon
as I fixed the kdm config problem, late that afternoon, and brought it up
with kdm, it hasn't done it since. I'll be glad to erase the config files
and try it again as soon as I can do it conveniently.

Probably the files didn't have anything to do with it. More likely that I was
running it from startx instead of kdm?

Thanks for the help.. I'll get back on this and I'll file a bug report if it
does it again when I remove the config stuff. I'll also try having the config
files there and starting it from startx anyway.
