Yes.  Menu, MenuBar, Dialogs, the "View Source Window".  And it's not *just* 
KMail.  It appears to be all the KDE apps (I've tried 3 or 4 four different 
ones).

I have, however set several KMail specific font settings and those work fine.

It's Gentoo.  And I will ask there.
