konqueror turns on pictures and plugins

I have Konqueror 3.1.1 (quite old SuSE 8.2). Because it draws pictures
very badly (placing
the ad atop the logout-button in lycos.de for instance) I wanted to
turn of the automatic
loading of pictures. To my astonishment it was turned on after visiting
www.lycos.de. The
running of plugins too. I now want to know in which version this bug
