I've been having font problems as well. I restored the original
/etc/fonts/fonts.conf from a backup I had. It has the 3 directories you
I ran fc-cache -v (as root). There's just one thing I am confused about.
Each line that is displayed says, "skipping." For example:
fc-cache: "/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/truetype": skipping, 81 fonts, 0
fc-cache: "/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/100dpi": skipping, 359 fonts, 0 dirs
What does "skipping" mean? I've looked at the man page but it doesn't
explain it at all.
