Restarting KDE components

just start it again, e.g. go to tty1  (alt-f1), login and enter kicker 
(perhaps you have to set the display-enviroment via "export 
DISPLAY=localhost:0.0")
Sometimes it is possible to use the run command shortcut(meta-enter on my 
machine) to restart the part.
