Kde2: set screen resolution

My distro is debian 3.0 with a 2.4 kernel.
I think there's a problem with the video card driver. At this moment I use
the driver "vga" because the driver "nv" doesn't work.

When I set XF86Config to use 1024x768 at 24-bit mode x-server doesn't start.
When I set to use 8-bit mode with a resolution 1024x768 the x-server starts
but in the resolution 640x400.

Kind regards,
Willem-Jan Meijer

It isn't a problem with KDE, it's a problem with the X server. Try fiddling
around with the options in the file /etc/X11/XF86Config, or if it's not
there, try /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/XF86Config. There's more help about this at
www.xfree.org and many other sites. What is your distribution? Most distros
include a utility to configure the X server so you don't have to edit the
configuration file directly.
