I have installed KDE3.1 on Slackware 9.0. I've downloaded both Sun and
Blackdown Java and inserted them in /usr/lib. I've added the appropriate
line to my $PATH and have checked that it works. In the konqueror options
I've put the path to the java executable to /usr/lib/j2re1.4.1/bin/java.
When I try to load an applet from my local network I get the following
message in the java
console (and the applet fails to start):
Java scripts also don't work.
Java VM version: 1.4.1_02
