konqueror doesn't honor FilePattern from .desktop

Ah, I didn't know that.

Anyway, I thought you wanted to display the icon for data files of that 
application.

Yes, Patterns seems to be for .desktop FIles for MImeType only.

I think it is the most uptodate version of it.
If you found entries not mentioned in the standard, they could be 
proprietary extensions or the author of the docs got lazy :)

So, if you find something not specified, you could send an email to 
kde-devel (or o this lis and I'll forward it to kde-devel) to make the 
core pepople aware of this.
