Your invitation sounds as if contributing to KDE would be potty. Though poor 
in time I tried twice to contact i18n.kde.org and two projects of interest 
offering help for translating documentation. I never got an answer.

A few of my conclusions belonging this thread and the "WOW. . .those 
screenshots of 3.1Alpha are fantastic" thread:

- KDE users cannot assert claims
- KDE's main attention is not directed to stability
- Too much candy endangers your teeth and the credibilty of KDE's usability 
targets
