K Menu can not be edited with Menu Editor

I don't know how to use YaST, but I would think that you could run it in 
character mode from the console.

You can also run X without KDE, but I don't know exactly how to do it on 
SuSE.  You have to edit a file on RedHat 7.3

Somebody with SuSE, Please Help.
