Maybe the readme at the ftp-directory:
It says something about qt and antialiasing and everything being compiled
against the original packages. (can't remember all of it)
I got SuSE7.2, also installed the SuSE rpms and no Antialiasing either :-(
Could it be that compiling QT would help?
What are the recommended commandline arguments for ./configure?
Is there a Howto for compiling QT for KDE3?
