FIle path in digikam (was: Re: kipi.dll missing in MSVC)

Thanks, I tried using c:/tmpPCT but that didn't work either. I also noted that many related menu items (such as Import -> Add Images) are greyed out. And I noted that file paths in KDE System Settings -> About me sometimes use slash and sometimes use backslash. I believe that other programs (such as cygwin) are not tolerant about mixing the two and I am wondering if that still could be a hint. Is there a logfile somewhere that I can check?

The latest entries in digikamrc are now:
Album Path=C:/tmpPct/pictures
Database File Path=C:/tmpPct

-M
