Yes, it is, you would have to use cmake's generator to create the msvc 
project(s). But it is enough to use cmake from the command line.

A note for the future: that we do not upload msvc project files, so if you 
perform any change in the msvc GUI (in the project's settings) even for your 
project, the change will be not available for others. So, the base compilation 
recipes we all use, are the portable CMakeLists.txt files.
