facebook connection internal component error

I'm getting an internal component error when trying to connect to facebook
or google talk.  can anyone help.

using telepathy-kde ppa
https://launchpad.net/~telepathy-kde/+archive/ppa

kubuntu precise 12.04 development

Also tried the telepathy-kde ppa with kubuntu  oneric (latest stable) and
get the same internal component error.
