Yes - I was actually assigned to that task, and I am the author of the wiki 
page. I started porting KMess chat window but I was in a very early stage due 
to my current commitment to exams, and if you already have something working, 
I'd gladly scratch what I was doing to keep on working on your stuff.

I'd love to see your code if possible - it would be cool if you could upload 
it to kde svn or somewhere git. If you are interested in keeping up your work, 
count me in for any helping hands.
