Hardcoding? No thanks

Didn't we agree it needed to be [re]moved?

I'd like the .pot staying in extragear-multimedia, we agreed changing to git 
must not affect how translators work and if you suggest creating one top level 
dir per application that switchs to git, that is changing how translators 
work.
