This merge request mail thing is new, right? So if it is blocking our
migration to git, can't we just disable it altogether until the solution to
this is worked out?
The problem doesn't sound unsolvable; just a matter of some web-interface, and
some permission bits for users. Or similar. And we still have reviewboard, so
it's not like there is no alternative. Or if all else fail, git works fine with
mailinglists and git-send-email --- that's e.g. how libgit2 works, and I have
no trouble with this workflow.
I just don't see the problem, really. So, given that I, like most men, think I
am smarter-than-average, at least half the people in here can't see it either.
So what are we missing?
