gitorious currently doesn't allow you to choose what mail you receive. 
everyone in the kde-developers group was getting amarok's merge request email, 
which was kinda annoying, especially with other projects talking about moving 
to git before such issues are resolved.

johan is going to implement a proper solution, but we don't know when, and in 
the meantime amarok people refused to consider not sending mail to the kde-
developers group, so ossi went behind their back and changed it so that the 
mail went to an amarok-developers group, scoffing at people's requests to have a 
discussion first.

the reason ossi's change can only be temporary is that gitorious users (ie, 
kde developers) still don't have control over what email they get; the only 
way to join or leave a group right now is to find the admin of that group and 
ask him/her to do it for you.
