For translation, you can get in touch with the Italian translation team on
their mailing list kde-i18n-it at kde.org . You can find subscription details
at:
https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kde-i18n-it
They'll be able to tell you about the tools you can use, and what areas still
need translation.
For beta-testing, the best thing to do at the moment is to compile and run the
3.5 branch - this is the code that will become KDE 3.5.1, and later 3.5.2,
etc. You can find instructions at:
http://quality.kde.org/develop/cvsguide/buildstep.php
(The instructions are quite long, but once you've set up the build system,
it's easy to keep up-to-date). To get the correct branch, use:
svn co svn://anonsvn.kde.org/home/kde/branches/KDE/3.5/<packagename>
If you have any problems getting this set up, post them to this list.
Once you have a compiled version of the branch set up, you can use it to check
existing bugreports against, and to provide new bug reports if you find any
new bugs. There are some instructions about using the bugzilla at:
http://quality.kde.org/develop/howto/howtobugs.php
I hope that's enough to help you to get started. If you have any other
questions, please ask.
Regards,
Philip
