this is understood and i agree and can live whith it as long as we speak
about new versions whith new features etc. But we speak about a program
that is more or less unusable in a officially released in a
productivity-version of KDE. So i can accept, that i do not get brand
new versions of all included apps every week for my particular distro
once a week - but i would appreciate it very much, if i could get any
version of an officially released prog, that works as it should without
severe bugs (such as impossibility to save changed files) for the
version of KDE, that i run.

btw: digikam is just great, it is the most usable and nice photodatabase
i know for linux and i really would like to use it and to recommend it
to everyone i know ;-)
