I finally got to the end of the article, and discovered that the fellow
actually works for Canonical. :^)
He has since filed many bug reports for most of the issues he brought up.
(If you read the original, you'll remember he already did suggest some
alterations and submitted bugs to Mozilla's bug tracking system, but they
never got implemented.)
He also talks a little more after the fact, and responds to the
response he got from the original post. (And also posts a photo of an
adorable kitten ;^) )

I'm still eager to go through my KDE 3.4 environment and try to find out
how many of the same issues (the ones "Aunt Tillie" might have) are floating
around here.
(I did just notice an irritation between Konq and Akregator on this fellow's
blog, in fact. I might need to post a bug myself ;) )
