Hi,
Yep indeed it was an error in 4.14 which was fixed in kf5 some weeks ago.
I couldn't put fix in 4.14 because no news release.

So please Ingo read commits before to complain (and bug reports too where we 
talk with guys which asked this feature and reported me this error.).

It was just an error that I fixed when bug reporter signaled me it.

It's already implemented in kf5 long time ago.
(see kmail->configure->appearence->gravatar settings.
