Thank you for your interest in participating in Season of KDE for KDE PIM.

At this point we are not sure yet if we have a mentor available because we 
already have quite some students to take care of.

Generally it would be better to first acquire a good knowledge of Qt, maybe by 
starting with small contributions on any part of KDE.
A GSOC or SOK student should be able to fully concentrate on the chosen task, 
which will already require a lot of learning of specialized libraries 
involved. Learning Qt at the same time or rather before that would delay 
working on the chosen project for several weeks, even for a fast learner.
