They seem to have their reasons, mainly they are falling back to something 
they know works from using it in the past and it works as a QtMobility 
Messaging API backend so the apps don't actually have to change.  If Akonadi 
had a QtMobility backend available then we might have been an option, but 
given their past familiarity I think EDS would still have gotten the nod.
