"Reply" tries to guess the replier's intention. If KMail identifies the 
message to be a mailing list message, then it will do a "Reply to 
List". Otherwise, it will do a "Reply to Author".

"Reply to List" and "Reply to Author" allow the user to overrule the 
automatism of "Reply".

I'm not sure. To fix bug 104229 KMail could additionally include the 
From address if the user does a Reply All and the message looks like a 
mailing list message (i.e. there's a List-* header or some commonly 
used non-standard mailing list header), but the message does lack a 
List-Post header, so that KMail cannot tell whether the address in 
Reply-to is the mailing list address or the sender's address.

I think 118609 should be closed as WONTFIX. I will do so together with 
some reasoning with respect to the message that was triggering 
the "wrong" (in the view of the reporter) behavior.
