ok, i blame the mailing list to kill html parts of multipart messsages
(thanks, btw.) - the exactly same message entered my google account as
multipart.
if anyone can force html mails here (s)he could test this.
however: as QTextEdit (4.5.0) apparently supports bidi text and i can (in
general) set the direction in html mails & they're displayed "correctly" (shot
attached) the remaining problem is: ?
ok, read the initial thread mail: the problem here is the latin interpunct. -
using e.g. U+05B4 ("hebrew point hiriq" - i have /no/ idea whether this is
meant to serve as "period" - fixes that.
i did however not find an arabic equivalent (iff there's such... couldn't you
just start typing in the proper direction... ;-)
:suoires ot kcab os
if you set the direction to right aligned (i assume this triggered the html
mail at my gmail account) and use the "proper" rtl punctuation you should get
what you want to see out of the box (no button)
i assume you use some xkbd magic to switch your keybord layout, therefore this
magick could (should?) also "correct" the "period" key, yesno?
or does that lead to problems because the period is reuired as e.g. precision
mark in numbers? i feel so confused :-(
