For openSUSE, while we don't count overall installations, the recent openSUSE 
10.2 survey [1] had 27,642 respondents of whom 71.8% mainly use KDE, where 
Akregator is the default RSS reader and is in the default install.  You can 
look at Distrowatch surveys to look at openSUSE's placing within the overall 
Linux ecosystem.
